How should I store natural petal confetti?
Natural petal confetti should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. A dry cupboard, wardrobe, drawer, or another dark storage space is ideal.
Should petal confetti be kept in an airtight container?
Yes. Petal confetti is best stored in a sealed bag, airtight container, or Tupperware-style box. This helps protect the petals from moisture, air exposure, and light.
Can petal confetti get damp?
No. Petal confetti should always be kept dry. Moisture can cause the petals to wilt, clump together, fade, or degrade, so avoid storing it near condensation, damp walls, cupboards, bathrooms, kitchens, or anywhere that could be prone to leaks.
Can I store petal confetti in direct sunlight?
No. Direct sunlight or strong artificial light can cause natural petals to fade over time. Store your confetti somewhere dark to help preserve its colour.
How long does natural petal confetti last?
When stored correctly in a cool, dry, dark place, Confetti Bee’s dried petal confetti can last around 6–12 months.
Should I keep taking petal confetti out of the packaging?
It is best not to repeatedly remove petal confetti from its packaging and put it back again. Keeping it sealed and protected will help preserve its quality.
When should I put petal confetti into cones, packets, baskets, or other packaging?
Confetti Bee recommends decanting confetti into your chosen wedding packaging around 2 days before your wedding or event. Once filled, keep the packaging somewhere cool, dry, and away from sunlight and moisture.
Can I add silica gel to petal confetti storage?
Yes. Silica gel packets can help absorb moisture in the air and may help protect natural petal confetti while it is being stored.
How should I store paper confetti?
Paper confetti should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. Keeping it sealed in its original bag or another protective container will help keep it in the best condition.
How long does paper confetti last?
Biodegradable paper confetti can last up to 2 years when stored correctly.
Can paper confetti get wet?
No. Paper confetti should be kept away from moisture. If it becomes damp, it may clump together or lose its quality.
Can paper confetti be stored in advance of a wedding?
Yes. Paper confetti is a good option for couples planning ahead because, when stored correctly, it can remain in excellent condition for a long time.
Where is the best place to store confetti at home?
A cool, dry cupboard, drawer, wardrobe, or storage box is ideal. Avoid windowsills, conservatories, garages, bathrooms, damp cupboards, hot rooms, and anywhere exposed to direct sunlight or humidity.

What type of confetti looks best in wedding photos?
Natural petal confetti is a beautiful choice for wedding photos. At Confetti Bee we especially recommends natural hydrangea petals, as their larger size, delicate detail, and gentle floating effect help create a romantic, picture-perfect confetti moment.
Why is hydrangea petal confetti good for photos?
Hydrangea petals are light, crisp, and float gracefully when thrown. Because they fall more slowly, photographers have a little extra time to capture the perfect confetti shot.
What is EverFloat® Confetti?
EverFloat® Confetti is Confetti Bee’s exclusive collection of natural hydrangea petal confetti. It is designed to float beautifully through the air, helping create magical, airy confetti photos.
Is larger confetti better for photos?
Yes. Larger petal confetti tends to show up more clearly on camera, reflect light better, and float for longer than smaller or heavier pieces such as Rose Petals. This can make the confetti more visible and impactful in photos.
Does petal confetti photograph better than paper confetti?
For elegant wedding photography, at Confetti Bee we highlight larger petal confetti as a strong option because it reflects light well and floats longer when thrown. Paper confetti can still work well, especially for bright, playful, or party-style photos.
What colours look best in confetti photos?
Bright colours such as pink and yellow can really pop against a background, while softer or neutral tones create a more romantic and elegant look. The best colour choice depends on your wedding theme, venue, outfits, and the overall style you want in your photos.
Should I choose confetti to match my wedding theme?
Yes. Choosing confetti that complements your wedding colours can help your photos look more coordinated. Confetti Bee’s hydrangea petals come in a wide range of colours, from bold shades to subtle tones, so you can match your chosen wedding aesthetic.
What confetti is best for a soft, romantic photo?
Natural hydrangea petal confetti is ideal for a soft, romantic look. Its light texture creates an airy, fluttering effect as it falls, which can make wedding photos feel elegant and magical.
What confetti is best for bold, colourful photos?
Choose brighter confetti colours or a mixed-colour blend if you want a more vibrant, eye-catching photo. Confetti Bee suggests that bright colours can stand out beautifully against different backgrounds.
How much confetti do I need for good photos?
You need enough confetti to be clearly visible in the shot. Too little confetti may not create the full effect, while too much in a small space can look cluttered. The right amount depends on your venue, number of guests, and the type of photo you want.
What else helps create the perfect confetti photo?
Good lighting, a simple background, careful timing, and clear instructions for guests can all help. Natural light works particularly well because it enhances the colours of the confetti and gives the photo a soft glow.
When should we plan the confetti photo?
Plan the confetti shot in advance with your photographer and venue. Make sure there is enough time in the schedule, choose a suitable location, and let guests know when and how to throw the confetti.
Where is the best place to take confetti photos?
Choose a location with good light, enough space for guests to throw confetti, and a background that will not distract from the moment. Outdoor settings with natural light often work beautifully.
Should guests throw confetti in a particular way?
Yes. Encourage guests to throw confetti upwards or over the couple, rather than directly at their faces. Throws from different heights and directions can create more movement and make the final photo feel more joyful and natural.
Is biodegradable confetti suitable for photos?
Yes. Confetti Bee’s natural petal confetti is biodegradable and can still create stunning photos. It is also a practical choice for venues that require biodegradable confetti.

- What do I receive if I order a quantity of 1?
- Does 1 litre look the same for every type of petal confetti?

- Why is my 1 litre bag not full to the top?
- How does Confetti Bee measure the confetti?
- Does selling by the litre make the quantity more transparent?
- Should I order enough confetti for every guest?
Why does Confetti Bee sell natural petal confetti by the litre?
Confetti Bee sells natural petal confetti by the litre because dried petals vary in size, texture, and weight. Measuring by volume gives customers a fair and consistent amount, no matter which petal type they choose.
Why not sell natural petal confetti by weight?
Selling by weight can be misleading because different petals weigh different amounts. Some petals are lighter, some are heavier, and some are larger or more textured. A weight-based measurement could mean customers receive very different-looking amounts depending on the petal type.
What do I receive if I order a quantity of 1?
If you order a quantity of 1, you will receive 1 full litre of confetti.
Does 1 litre look the same for every type of petal confetti?
Not exactly. Smaller petals will look like a higher number of petals, while larger petals will look like fewer individual pieces. However, each option is still measured as 1 full litre by volume.
How does petal size affect the amount of confetti I receive?
With smaller petal confetti, you receive a higher volume of individual petals. With medium petals, you receive fewer individual petals than small types but more than large types. With large petals, you receive fewer individual petals because each petal takes up more space.
How many handfuls are in 1 litre of small petal confetti?
Confetti Bee estimates that 1 litre of small petal confetti provides around 10–15 loose handfuls and fills approximately 15–20 packets.
How many handfuls are in 1 litre of medium or large petal confetti?
Confetti Bee estimates that 1 litre of medium or large petal confetti provides around 8–12 loose handfuls and fills approximately 10–15 packets.
What does Confetti Bee mean by a loose handful?
A loose handful is measured as approximately 50ml, which is the same as a double shot glass. It is intended to represent a typical amount someone would hold to throw.
How much aisle coverage does 1 litre of natural confetti provide?
As a rough guide, Confetti Bee estimates that 1 litre of natural confetti scattered lightly will cover approximately 1 metre of aisle.
Why is my 1 litre bag not full to the top?
The bags Confetti Bee uses can hold more than 1 litre, so they are not filled right to the brim. This leaves air space around the petals, helping cushion them and reduce crushing during transport.
How does Confetti Bee measure the confetti?
Confetti Bee measures the confetti by volume using a 1 litre jug before it is bagged. We also add a little extra.
Does selling by the litre make the quantity more transparent?
Yes. Confetti Bee says selling by the litre is the most transparent and reliable way to supply eco-friendly wedding confetti while keeping quality consistent across the range.
Should I order enough confetti for every guest?
Confetti Bee recommends accounting for every guest as a minimum, as guests love to join in the confetti moment and it avoids anyone being left out.

Does Confetti Stain
- Will Petal Confetti Stain?
- Will Paper Confetti Stain?
Will Petal Confetti Stain?
Our natural petal confetti is a beautiful biodegradable option, perfect for creating a soft, romantic confetti moment. When used dry, petal confetti should not stain clothing or surfaces.
As petals are a natural product, darker or more vibrant colours may occasionally leave a mark if they become wet and are pressed against delicate fabrics, pale outfits or porous surfaces. This is similar to how fresh flowers or grass can sometimes transfer colour when damp.
To avoid any marks, we recommend keeping your petal confetti dry before use and storing it in a cool, dry place until your celebration. After your confetti throw, simply brush away any petals from dresses, suits or accessories.
If you are concerned about staining, lighter petal shades or white petal confetti are a lovely choice for a soft, elegant and worry-free confetti throw.
Will Paper Confetti Stain?
Our biodegradable paper confetti is ColourFast, meaning it is specially designed to help prevent colour transfer when used as intended. When kept dry, our paper confetti should not stain clothing, suits, dresses or surfaces, making it a beautiful, venue-friendly choice for weddings and celebrations.
However, as with any coloured paper product, we still recommend avoiding prolonged contact with moisture. If paper confetti becomes very wet and is left sitting on delicate fabrics, pale clothing or porous surfaces, there may be a small chance of colour transfer.
To keep your confetti moment picture-perfect, we suggest storing your paper confetti somewhere cool and dry before the big day, keeping it away from rain or damp conditions, and brushing it off clothing shortly after your confetti throw.
For extra peace of mind, especially if you are wearing very pale or delicate fabrics, you may wish to choose lighter colours or white biodegradable paper confetti.
