Why large rose petals are great for wedding confetti

Confetti is a fun and creative way to add some extra celebration to any wedding or special event. But not all confetti is created equal—and the size of the petals makes a huge difference. Large rose petals are becoming increasingly popular for wedding confetti, and it's easy to understand why. Not only do they look beautiful when scattered, but they also make quite an impact as they gently drift down onto the crowd below. In this article, we'll take a look at why large rose petals make great wedding confetti, so you can decide if they're right for your big day.

Rose petals are romantic

When it comes to wedding confetti, large rose petals are definitely the way to go. Not only do they look beautiful as they float down from the sky, but they also have a romantic meaning that will add an extra special touch to your big day.

As most people know, roses are often associated with love and romance. Therefore, using red rose petals as confetti is a great way to show your guests how much you care about them and how much you appreciate their support on your big day. Plus, the pleasant smell of roses is sure to fill the air and make everyone feel even more romantic.

So if you're looking for a way to add a little extra romance to your wedding day, be sure to use large rose petals for your confetti. Your guests will love it!

They add color and dimension

Large red rose petals make great wedding confetti because they add color and dimension. Rose petals are also a natural way to add fragrance to your wedding day. They can be used in lieu of rice or birdseed, and they're biodegradable.

They can be scented

Rose petals make great wedding confetti because they can be scented. This is a great way to add a personal touch to your wedding and make it unique. You can choose from a variety of scents, so you can find one that fits your personality and the theme of your wedding.

They can be used for more than just confetti

There are many reasons why large rose petals make great wedding confetti. For one, they add a touch of elegance to the proceedings. They can also be used to decorate the wedding cake or other desserts. In addition, rose petals can be used to fill vases or bowls as part of the table decorations.

One of the best things about using large rose petals for confetti is that they are completely biodegradable and will not harm the environment. They will also eventually break down and provide nutrients for the plants in your garden.

How to choose the right rose petals for your wedding

When it comes to wedding confetti, large rose petals are definitely the way to go! They look beautiful floating down from the sky and make for some great photos. Plus, they're easy to catch and won't blow away in the wind like smaller petals would. Here are a few tips on how to choose the right rose petals for your big day:

1. Consider the color of your roses. Do you want them to match your wedding theme or stand out against it? Either way, there's definitely a hue that will work for you.

2. Think about the size of the petals. If you have a lot of guests, you'll want to make sure there's enough confetti to go around! Large petals will ensure that everyone gets a piece.

3. Choose a variety that's easy to find. Don't stress about trying to track down a rare flower - stick with something common so you can be sure to find it come wedding time.

4. Get a sample before making your final decision. This way, you can see and feel how the petals will look and behave on your special day.

How much confetti is in a 1 litre bag, and how far will it go?

We supply confetti in a few different ways, but our most common option is a 1 litre bagged amount.

Please note that the bags themselves hold more than 1 litre, so they will not appear completely full to the brim when they arrive. This is intentional. We leave a little space around the petals to help cushion them and reduce the risk of crushing during packing and transport.

The confetti is measured by volume using a 1 litre jug before it is bagged, and we always aim to include a little extra too.

As a guide, the number of handfuls or packets you can fill from 1 litre will depend on the size and type of petals:

For small petal confetti, 1 litre will provide approximately 10–15 loose handfuls or fill around 15–20 packets.

For medium or large petal confetti, 1 litre will provide approximately 8–12 loose handfuls or fill around 10–15 packets.

A “loose handful” is based on roughly 50ml, which is the equivalent of a double shot glass. This is intended to represent a typical amount someone would hold to throw — not a tiny scattering, but not a large mound either.

These quantities are a guide only, based on our experience and customer feedback. If you would like a particularly generous confetti moment, we recommend ordering a little extra to make sure you have enough for your needs.

How should I store my confetti and how long will it last?

To keep your dried confetti looking its best, please store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.

Our dried confetti can last for up to 12 months when stored correctly. As it is a natural product, exposure to damp conditions, humidity, or strong sunlight may affect the colour, texture, and overall quality over time.

We recommend keeping your confetti sealed in its packaging until you are ready to use it, and storing it somewhere dry such as a cupboard, drawer, or storage box.

Why has my petal confetti arrived un-mixed?

Some petals from our petal confetti collections are kept separate to help ensure they look their very best for your big day.

If your chosen confetti arrives un-mixed, we recommend waiting until 1–2 days before your wedding or event before mixing the petals together. This helps keep the petals in the best possible condition, ready to be thrown and captured in those beautiful confetti photos.

When you are ready to mix them, gently combine the petals by hand, taking care not to crush them. Once mixed, store the confetti in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture, until it is time to use.

Will my petal confetti look exactly like the advertised image?

Please be aware that, when you receive your petal confetti, there may be slight variations in petal size, shape, and colour tone when compared with the advertised image.

This is because our petal confetti is completely natural and can be affected by seasonal and climate variations. As a result, the petals supplied to us will not always be perfectly uniform or identical from batch to batch. After all, that is part of what makes natural petal confetti so special.

We will, of course, always do our very best to supply petals that are as close to the advertised images as possible. Any small variations are a natural part of the product and help make each order unique.
